Here’s how to get red fruit stains out of your clothes

Often such a stain is stubborn and difficult to remove.

You know the frustrating situation: spilling your smoothie on your white blouse. Apart from having to change your clothes, you also have to deal with the stains right away. In fact, red fruit is very stubborn and requires a special approach to get out of your clothes.

Stain removal

Wine, tomato sauce and chocolate can cause terrible stains in your clothes. But not only these foods are a disaster, red fruits such as strawberries, raspberries and cherries are also a nightmare. It is always best to remove a stain from your clothing immediately. This is because a dried stain has completely soaked into the fabric and is more difficult to remove. Therefore, dab a cloth with cold water on the stain immediately, but do not rub. By dabbing you absorb the dirt with the cloth, while by rubbing you work the stain deeper into the material and may damage the fabric.

In case the stain has moved in anyway, you can soak the garment in a soak of buttermilk and lemon juice for a few hours. Because of its high acidity, the mixture will bite the dirt out of your clothes.

Kitchen remedies with high acidity are also good for fresh stains. Soda vinegar or lemon juice works very well, but only if the fabric is not too delicate and can take a beating. Drizzle a little on the stain and let it soak in briefly. Rinse the stain well, dab detergent on the stain, then machine wash the clothes according to the washing label.

Boiling water

Want to do things differently from kitchen remedies? Then turn your dirty garment inside out and pour boiling water over the stain from the back, but first check if the fabric can withstand boiling water. Then you can soak the fabric in lukewarm soapy water.
