This is how you make yellow pillows white again

With these tips, your yellow pillows will be white again!

Does your pillow look like you’ve been using it for way too long? When we sleep on our pillows, sweat and oils from our body seep into it. And that causes them to eventually turn yellow. And when your pillow has yellow stains on it, it doesn’t really look sanitary anymore. So, find out how to get rid of yellow stains on your pillows.

Necessities

Luckily, you don’t need a lot of products to get the job done. Some of these might already be sitting in your cupboards. All you need is some laundry detergent (powdered form), dishwasher detergent (also powdered), bleach and some borax. The measurements of your cleaning supplies are the following:

1 cup of laundry detergent
1/2 cup of borax
1 cup of dishwasher detergent
1 cup of bleach

Method

After getting everything in place, it is time to go over the instructions. Always check if your pillows can be washed. It should say so on the label of the pillow. If it can not be washed then, unfortunately, this method won’t work for you.

Step 1

Take the pillow from its pillow case and soak it in some hot water. First, mix the ingredients together in a pot of boiling water. Add the bleach after you have put the pillows in the mixture. Let it sit for about thirty minutes and flip the pillows halfway through.

Step 2

After the thirty minutes of soaking, it is time to wash your pillows. Select a full cycle and if your washer has the option, select the additional rinse setting.

Step 3

When you have washed your pillows, all you have to do is wait for them to dry. If you want to be done faster, you can put your pillows in the dryer. Just make sure you check the label again for the right setting. If you are going to dry your pillows in the dryer, it would be good to add some dryer balls or tennis balls. Just to make sure your pillow stays fluffy.
